Below VFR - Below Visual Flight Rules; Ceiling and/or visibility below 1000 feet and/or 3 mi Below IFR - Below Instrument Flight Rules; Ceiling and/or visibility below 200 feet and/or 1/2 mi Ceiling - Height of the lowest cloud layer in feet covering more than 5/8 of the sky Data - Hourly data is from the National Center for Environmental Information(NCEI); other climate data is from ECCC ECCC - Environment and Climate Change Canada Freezing Precipitation - Supercooled liquid precipitation, either rain or drizzle, that freezes on impact with objects near the ground UCT - Universal Coordinated Time, also known as Greenwich Mean Time (GMT) Prevailing Visibility - The greatest distance in statute miles, visible through at least half of the horizon Wind Direction - The direction from which the wind is blowing in degrees True on a compass Wind Speed - Measured in knots in 5 second intervals for one minute before the time of the observation |
